This unit heats 600 ml of water in about 4 minutes using only 0.04 kwh. EXTREMELY energy efficient and plenty fast! Also, this unit uses just under 600 watts and CAN operate without any problems on a Jackery 500 power supply which is good to know for campers or van life. At first I was discouraged by the little silicon seal around top smelling like plastic, BUT if you follow the directions and boil it a few times in the kettle (add a few tea leaves!) the odor cooks off. The silicon is needed only to keep the lid from flopping off when pouring the last few drop. I found it was a bit of a tight fit which is not really necessary so I trimmed a bit off to make it easier to pull off top and see no ill effects from it. The body of the kettle holds heat fairly well and I use it for gong fu brewing of sencha and prefer it not to be too hot anyway, but a touch of the button will restore boil immediately if you like. This is an excellent kettle, very compact and efficient and is now my favorite kettle and works great when camping in my Prius. BTW, it pours very well and works for the gong fu method even though no goose neck which is a liability when camping or brewing in small space. Highly recommend. This was the answer to having one with a lower watt draw to take the load of the inverter I use and not blow fuses etc. I added a thermometer in lid marked at 180 F so I don’t have to guess about right temp for my tea since I prefer not to use boiling water for brewing.BTW, it has a bigger sister sold on Amazon on sellers store that also is same 600 watt draw, and it is seafoam green. The larger one has an all metal lid which I prefer, but it is just my personal preference to have the black.

In searching for a kettle I read many reviews and could not be happier with my choice. I will count the ways I love it: 1. Stainless Steel interior, is the safest (no toxic plastic), 2. Auto shut-off, a great safety feature. 3. Boils Fast! 4. Lid is removable making it easy to clean and big enough to boil an egg or make ramen if desired. 5. The manually retractable cord stores neatly under the base. Itâs size is perfect for travel, fits easily in carry-on or checked luggage â you can store coffee, tea or socks inside when traveling. I purchased it 6 weeks ago and have already traveled with it to 3 locations in USA & Mexico and it worked perfectly!

I feel like Sbucks has gotten worse over the years, and I was tired of paying over $4 for a cup of coffee when traveling and getting crap coffee… so I decided to get this and couldn’t be more pleased. Whether you want instant coffee packs or want to go all in with an Aeropress like me – it is perfect. The Aeropress traveller fits inside the water chamber, so I have my cup, filters, stir stick and the Aeropress all together with the water heater. If you wanted to use preground coffee – you can ever store some of that inside the Aeropress tube. I use beans and just take a bag or buy a bag at my destination if flying somewhere. Combined with my Wheroamoz grinder this is a perfect travel combo. It has honestly save me so much $$ and from drinking bad coffee that has been sitting around getting burnt. If you have never used an Aeropress it is really simple to use, takes less than 5 min to make a great, flavorful cup of coffee and clean up is easy. This water heater is quick and holds the perfect volume for this system.

I wanted it to be a bedside kettle but it was way too short to reach from my outlet to my bedside table so I had to abandon that. It really is unusually short compared to the other electric kettles out there and I really wish they would lengthen it just by a few inches so buyers would have more choice where they can put it, as the locations of our outlets are pretty much fixed.
I love the size and design so perfect for travel! One thing Iâm not crazy about is silicone seal around the lid I think itâs giving kind of a faint unpleasant smell after boiling water in the kettle. The kettle works great 5-6 mins to boil. Iâm keeping it even with the silicone seal because silicone is one of the more stable plastic materials that can handle high temperatures. Iâm not too concerned with that as I would be if other kinds of plastic were near the boiling water/steam. Some kettles have plastic brackets inside them (not this onel) connecting the cover to the body and that is more concerning to me about the plastic breaking down and leeching micro plastic into the water overtime. To wrap it up I like this kettle itâs not an every day kettle for me but more so for travel and convenience. Oh!! I have to say, the extension cord is so short

I got this to boil water in my hotel room for a recent trip. I needed to sanitize (boil) the water in my hotel room for use in my nasal rinse after a sinus condition. This worked great for that purpose and I now keep it on my home bathroom sink for that same purpose. I also had it do double duty in boiling water for coffee (by using Folgers coffee singles) in my hotel room. My trip was 7 days and I only took a carry on bag. This was compact enough to pack in my bag along with a weekâs worth of clothes. The water boils in about 5 minutes. The construction is solid and the materials seem to be great quality.

The only kettle that draws the amount of power stated. Other kettles rated at 800W wouldn’t run on my 1000W inverter, but this one actually draws 600W and runs fine even on my 600W inverter (I have a lot of inverters). It boils water plenty fast and I’ve never wished the volume of water was more. I take it camping and use it to make coffee, tea, oatmeal, etc.
