I bought these to help keep cords within reach on a nightstand. They work really well with thick cables like the grey one pictured. They do have a hard time securing thin cables like the green one in the picture. It’s not a big problem as you can just push the cable back into the holder but the clips just don’t hold the thin cable as securely as the thicker cables. My grey cables stay with little to no slipping.

These are great – they hold cables securely without squeezing them – and not just standard computer cables, but smaller headphone cables and larger 1/4″ audio cables. In fact, because these seem to be spring-loaded, they hold every size of cable I’ve tried in them.I’ve bought other cable-holders in the past, but I would never go back after buying these. The others I bought required squeezing the cable in, and if you couldn’t get it all the way in, the cable would fall out. These are terrific! I have a swing-table over my bed and when I push it away after watching a movie in bed, I had to either leave my laptop plugged in all night, or unplug it and let the cord fall to the floor. This nifty clip solves it beautifully. It is affixed to the swing-table, and the clip is so easy to use: you just lay the cord on it and gently push down and it’s held securely until you want to take it out – taking it out is also a breeze. These are so sturdily made of metal, and small – so they don’t take up much room – and the adhesive strip holds it very strongly in place. I love this solution! Packaged in a beautiful box with each clip individually in its own little bag – very elegant presentation.EDIT: I just discovered that these work excellently with medical tubing as well! i.e. for my G-tube Kangaroo feeding bag, as it drains clean water into the sink, the tubing would keep falling into sink (not too sanitary to have it touching the sink drain), or roll off the sink edge and get the whole counter wet. It takes considerable time to drain the bag, so I am never in the kitchen watching it. I attached one of these clips to a small dessert plate which I hang over the edge of the sink, and now the tubing is held securely by the clip on the plate. I could envision these being used widely in hospitals.
