Reviving old Sony VAIO PCG31311u
I have an old SONY VAIO PCG31311u laptop from around 2008 at my house. It was running Windows 10 on a 512GB HDD with just 2GB of DDR3 RAM occupying only 1 of 2 dedicated RAM slots, so you can only increase another 2GB of RAM to improve performance from the other slot. Its technical specifications didn’t meet current processing speed at low load, so I decided to tune this laptop for the first time since 2008. So, then I change the old HDD to SSD to clone same OS, then I increase 2 GB RAM memory too with A-Tech RAM brand. After all, the laptop increase its performance amazingly even it is able to play youtube videos without troubles and only have 4 GB RAM memory now, its max capacity it has able to support. really I stay surprised after laptop came to life first time since 2008. Really it fast and has nice performance. I would recommend A-Tech Ram memory to tune old laptops. Only you have to pay attention on what kind of slot you have on your motherboard and then keep in mind. I satisfied with this purchase. It’s been worth it.

This 8gb RAM was easy to install, and it has worked flawlessly now months afterward. I like to shop by price if a product has adequate quality that matches others. I do not get pleasure from buying a ‘name’ if another product without the ‘name’ provides the same service.RAM memory should be fungible – interchangeable, one to another. When buying a fungible product, such as wheat, coal, steel, etc., one just relies on the price and quantity; not so for most other product categories.However with high tech electronics that have no moving parts, in general, once burned in for a period after install, established products tend to last a long time without failure.This is such a product.Reviews by customers showed this product has been sufficiently trustworthy, with no reputation of substantial failure so I bought with expectation this product would function in ordinary circumstances for a very long time after initial install.Install was without any glitch, and it has worked correctly from the start with no indication of difficulty, now and no portent of any future problem.That experience has value to me. This RAM product was bought because it was slightly cheaper, and if it stays so, I definitely would buy again without hesitation. If it fails in the future, I’ll update, but I suspect this is the last you’ll hear from me, the guy who never writes reviews.If it continues to work without demanding any attention, indication of failure, or other issue, I’d match this product against ‘name’ products and buy based on price.

Product not working!!! Laptop turns on but with a black screen. First I have tried to install it together with my old Ram, not working, then tried to install it alone without my old Ram, not working, then tried to put back my old Ram alone and it does work. Obviously the problem is with this product, won’t even bother returning it.

After 2 months of upgrade, each time need to boot up the macbook pro 15inch mid 2012 , there will be beeping sound. tried removing the ram and putting it back again but still fail.
