   unclear directions but it works really good
   UPDATE: My husband heated up a FROZEN hot pocket!! He threw it in and when he was ready to eat about an hour later or so it was toasty and ready to go. I’m happy he has something for his lunches now because buying food in the city in the middle of the night is expensive and he didnt have many options. Now he can pack leftover dinner for work or his own meals. No more cold food!It gets very hot. My husband likes the look of it and plans on using it tonight at work. He drives a truck all night and doesnt have many options to eat. He tried a can of soup but it didnt cook. He was unsure how to heat it and the instructions arent clear enough per food item. it says you can water bath an item but is that a metal can too? Hes going to try again tonight with something else. hopefully i can update later.

   Great for frozen stew, soup, burritos, etc
   Wow. This thing rocks!I’ve used this lunch box for about two weeks.I work outside for a tree service. It’s spring now, but there’s still a couple feet of snow on the ground. After working from 7:00am – noon in the deep snow, I’m always happy when it’s lunchtime. I go to the truck and pull out the lunch box and find a nice warm meal waiting inside. The temperature is just a little hotter than my mouth can stand, so I let it cool down a little first. Nothing like homemade beef stew on a cold day working outdoors. mmm mmm.I do use the disposable aluminum loaf pans. Not only because of the easy cleanup, but I cook all the food for the week on Sundays and freeze it in those aluminum containers and wrap the tops with foil sheets.The other two guys on the crew love it too. I bring two disposable paper bowls with for them. It’s perfect for all three of us to get a bowl full. We also bring sandwiches, fruit, etc., otherwise it wouldn’t be enough for three people.I have also made breakfast burritos and wrapped them in aluminum foil and froze them. They are perfect for this lunch box. I can fit four ten inch tortilla burritos rolled up in there. (and I stuff them full.) :)I plug it in 3-4 hours before lunchtime. That is taking the stew from frozen to hot. My problem is I forget to plug the darn thing in sometimes. :)Adding just a little water in the bottom helps to heat it more evenly and quickly. Just a little though, like a shot glass full.Very happy with my purchase of this lunch box. It’s pretty awesome.As far as anything I would change……. I guess it would be nice to have a little better way of wrapping the cable up. The little plastic hook things on the back do work, but the cord does fall off once in a while and the lid doesn’t open when the cord is wrapped on it. Hey, I’m definitely not complaining. :)I have a 300 amp portable jump starter with a cigarette lighter port on it. It worked great to heat the lunch box, so now it’s even more portable.This is a great product, and it being so simple, actually makes it more reliable with less that can go wrong with it. It’s a box that heats to 300 degrees. :)I received an email yesterday from the seller asking how I like the product and if there was anything they could help me with if I had questions. They said they would make it right if anything wasn’t as I expected. So that was very nice.Well, I guess that’s a good enough review….. :)Enjoy your new lunchbox. I certainly do.

   hopefully this one last longer
   I take frozen foods with me as I drive for a living. I buy the 100 pk of aluminum containers with lids on Amazon.. this hot box makes it a lot cheaper to eat when on a tight schedule and you dont want to stop at a Fast food place..my first one was a different brand it lasted 2.5 years. decided to try the soft version by a different brand, Big mistake.. ended up giving that one away. .. never did get things hot enough. This one worked well for about 8 months then just decided to die.. I thought it was the fuse. the fuse was still intact so it had just died. Giving this one another chance as the Kooltron has doubled in price from my first purchase.. if this one last 8 months like the last one I am still ahead of the curve. Every day I bring my lunch I save about 8 to $10. it adds up.it also gets rid of leftovers.. within a few weeks its paid for itself.. as a Bonus.. you actually get a lot better quality food..

   I purchased this as we frequently take lunch to work. Being in construction, this was ideal. I am able to pack this up with food for the day – canned food or other items I can heat quickly for my lunch break. We also noticed that you can use this with aluminum loaf pans which is great as we can now wrap up leftovers in foil and warm them in this lunchbox and there is less mess to clean since it is in the loaf pan. This lunch box works to warm food. It is not a stove for cooking so if you have items that need to be fully cooked this will not work, but it you want to avoid taking sandwiches every day this is great. Keep in mind if you are planning to use it to warm soups or other liquid items, you do need to have them in a separate container or use lids on the foil loaf pan so they do not spill should they be tipped over. Overall it has been great for our needs, plugs in to the truck for lunch time and doesn’t leave food scalding hot.

   Burn ’em down!
   The 10mp fuse blew. But the oven continued to cook. And cook is sure what it wanted to do. Smoking inside my truck. The cable/adapter were HOT and melted the factory wiring to the 12v outlet. I Just now replaced the fuse to see if it would work. Tested it on a AC /DC converter for safety sake, and within minutes I could smell it and everything was DANGEROUSLY hot. And yep, the fuse was blown too. Something is wrong with this as the fuse doesn’t do any good. Such a shame too, as when it was working it worked great! Now it’s a hazard. Can I rate 0 stars?

   As long as you remember to put your dinner in it (I keep forgetting) it works amazing. Fits two cans of stagg chilli no problem, but that’s it. It is a bit smaller than i was expecting, but once I sorted out the portions for dinner I realized it was perfect. If you’re cooking for two people it will be too small
